Have you made a screen capture of Apple Maps and noticed that the search bar, compass, and other tools block parts of the image? That has been the only way to do it until the release of iPadOS 13.

Now you can take a Screenshot, open it and choose between Screen and Full Page view. In the Full Page view, the map tools are hidden, leaving just the map visible — a small but welcome improvement to the Screenshot feature of iPadOS.
