The best Apps for working with an iPad?

Soon I will be making the transition from using a laptop to work on the go to an iPad Pro. Some of the apps on the device from factory settings are quite handy, but I feel as if something is missing.

What apps would you recommend for working on the go? I have Microsoft Office already, but any alternatives would be appreciated! Also anything to use with the Apple Pencil, as hopefully I will be getting one this month!

Great to hear! I suggest Pages, Numbers and Keynote as alternatives to Microsoft Office. I like them a lot. Or if you already use Google Docs, you can use that.

Most of what I write, I do in a text editor. There are several really good ones. I write in Markdown to get proper formatting. It beats fiddling with word processor settings and formatting 98 percent of the time. iA Writer and Drafts are two very good choices. If you want something more advanced, look at Ulysses.

Use Grammarly keyboard for spell checking and syntax control.

Snapseed is good for image editing if you don't like Photos built-in features.

Unread is one if my favorite news readers for RSS feeds.

Inputs is the calculator app I use most in iPad.

Shortcuts is a big time saver. If you don't learn to make your own, at least install some made by others.

Spark for email. Better looking and more features than standard Mail.

Bab.la for quick translations.

Pdf Expert or Pdf viewer for reading, editing and signing pdf files.

Gladys or Yoink for saving, copying and moving ”things” between and in apps.

LastPass if you're not satisfied with iOS built-in password and credit card manager.

I probably could go on forever. 🙂 Ask for what you need. I'll try to Help.

#1 That's a great response, thank you! Spark seems like an interesting app, as I never usually have any problems with the normal mail app! What sort of features does it have that are missing on the normal mail app?

#2 And of course Winking

#3: In Spark you can use email aliases, it has lots of features that makes email management easier and it looks better than Mail.

What do you mean by email aliases?

#5: An email alias is an email address that you use with another email account. If, for instance, you have a Gmail account, you may want to also send email from another address (hello@jordan.com or jordan@companymail.com) with Gmail. That is what aliases are for. Not all email clients Support aliases. Spark does.
