How to use Yoink app for drag and drop on iPad

Yoink is like a storage shelf for things you want to share between apps. You drag something from an app to Yoink. Then you drag it from Yoink to another app. You can also use Yoink to store text snippets, images and documents that you frequently use. Watch this video from 9 to 5 Mac to learn a lot more about using Yoink on your iPad (or iPhone).

Do you use this app? I think it would just be easier to use your icloud files or copy and paste?

All the best, Leia

Yes, I use it on iPad and Mac. When you use Files you have to decide each time where to put things, if you're not just putting it in the root directory. Also, you can't drop for instance a link in Files. If you drag a rich text snippet to Yoink it will save it both as rich text, HTML text and as plain text, letting you drag out whichever you want. Files won't do that. Files is not an entirely bad alternative though, depending on your needs. :-)
