DraftTable stand keeps your iPad Pro steady

Image 1. Click to open in original size.

If you are looking for a really sturdy iPad stand, Elevation Labs DraftTable will likely be what you are looking for.

DraftTable weighs about 1 kilo, which definitely makes it one of the heavier stands for iPad. On the other hand, if you want something that stays still when you hammer away on the soft touch keyboard of a 12.9 inch iPad Pro, the weight is needed.

The base plate of the stand is made of metal (aluminum?) and the foldable legs are some kind of hard plastic. There are three sets of legs in different sizes. To use it, you unfold the legs of the length you want. You can also use it with all legs folded. This makes it really low profile and the angle is about what you have on an Apple Magic keyboard. The highest legs sets it at around a 45 degree angle. All legs have rubber ends that make the stand unlikely to slide on any ordinary desk surface. If you like to keep iPad in your lap, DraftTable works well for that too.

I found that iPad Pro 12.9 on a DraftTable is more stable than the last MacBook Air I owned.

DraftTable comes in two different kits. One with just the stand and one bundled with a wrist rest and an Apple Pencil holder. I didn’t need a Pencil stand or wrist rest so I bought the naked stand at around 50 USD. Since the stand is so heavy, shipping cost more than the stand itself, so be prepared for that if you plan on buying one. You can get DraftTable on the Elevation Lab website or on Amazon.
